Scottish chart-topper SANDI THOM is taking time out of her hectic schedule after collapsing from “exhaustion” yesterday morning (23AUG06).
The I WISH I WAS A PUNK ROCKER singer was due to appear on a British TV show before fainting moments before the programme went on air.
A spokesman confirms the 25-year-old will recuperate at home following her gruelling schedule which last weekend (19-20AUG06) saw her zooming between Essex and Staffordshire as part of England’s two-day V Festival.
The rep says, “Sandi has been working so hard to break America and the UK that her body literally couldn’t take any more punishment.
“The doctor has insisted she take a few days off at home with her guitar to recover.
“She will be fine after that, though.”
