SLATER AND RYDER REUNITE FOR HEATHERS SEQUEL
CHRISTIAN SLATER and WINONA RYDER are re-teaming for a sequel to cult film HEATHERS.
Ryder has signed on for the project, as well as Slater, despite the fact he dies in the first film.
Slater played bad boy JASON ‘JD’ DEAN in the movie where he helps Ryder take revenge on a group of popular girls - all named Heather.
Ryder tells Entertainment Weekly, “I don’t know how much is official; it’s a way away.
“But it takes place in Washington and Christian Slater agreed to come back and make an OBI-WAN-type appearance. It’s very funny.” Ryder is currently working with Heathers writer DANIEL WATERS on the film SEX AND DEATH 101.
Walters has already agreed write the sequel and may also direct the film.
