LLOYD-WEBBER CONCERT CHAOS
Acclaimed cellist JULIAN LLOYD-WEBBER may have to cancel his concert dates this year (06) as a result of increased airport security.
Lloyd-Webber usually books an extra seat on flights for his cello - but as carry-on luggage is now restricted, the musician is forbidden from taking his $1.8 million (£1 million) Stradivarius cello onboard.
Lloyd-Webber, brother of composer SIR ANDREW, says, "The Stradivarius, which is worth £1 million, would not survive the Atlantic flight in the hold in the cold and no instrumentalist worth their salt would hire an unknown instrument for a mainstream concert."
