DAVIES SCRAPS DOCTOR WHO SPIN-OFF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:38 am

DOCTOR WHO writer RUSSELL T DAVIS has scrapped plans for a spin-off featuring the Time Lord’s sidekick ROSE TYLER, for fear it would “spoil” the legendary series.
Davies, who has masterminded the show’s return to the small screen, wanted to develop the character - played by BILLIE PIPER - after she left the show at the end of the last season.
The BBC agreed to a 90-minute special, but Davies pulled out.
He explains, “It was going to be fantastic. ROSE TYLER: EARTH DEFENCE. But then I thought ‘no’. It spoils Doctor Who if we can see Rose and the Doctor can’t.”
