BENNETT: ‘ENGLAND IS PARADISE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:35 pm

Legendary crooner TONY BENNETT found refuge in England after being dropped from Columbia Records in 1972 - and still calls it “paradise”.
Bennett, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, still considers the country a haven where the music he recorded will live forever.
He says, “The reputation was that my career dropped when I went there. But I went to paradise. I went to England and studied with ROBERT FARNON, who (FRANK) SINATRA called the ‘the governor of all orchestrators.’ I went to paradise. The records didn’t sell but they’ll last forever.”
