Til debt us do part
A Romanian man has handed over his wife to pay a debt.
Emil Iancu gave his wife Daniela to Jozef Justien Lostrie, 72, when he came to collect a £1,800 debt.
Iancu explained: “I had no money to pay the debt and Lostrie said he would take my wife instead. I was scared of what he would do so I signed a document saying Daniela would live with him.” Daniela is delighted about her new living arrangements and said she is, “treated like a guest and hardly has to raise a finger”.
