Squirrel vandal
A squirrel fell down a chimney in England last week and caused £10,000 worth of damage.
The retired home owners returned from a weekend away and initially thought they had been burgled. Then they found a dead squirrel under the coffee table.
The animal had fallen 30 feet down the chimney and spread soot around the room as it tried to escape.
It chewed the furniture, shredded the curtains, ripped the carpets and gnawed through the window frames. The squirrel also scratched the light fittings, ripped off the wallpaper and sprayed urine and faeces all over the room.
The couple are not sure if their insurance covers squirrel damage.
