HITCH star EVA MENDES was so terrified of filming a scene where she seduces BILLY CRUDUP - she had to down an entire beer immediately before the cameras rolled in order to give enough courage.
The star was filming the sex scene for her new film TRUST THE MAN and found it especially difficult to be the aggressor because she never takes the lead in her real-life romantic relationships.
She explains, "I had to be the guy, the aggressor and I am not the guy. I am Jane. You are Tarzan. You take me, I don’t take you.
"I had to suck down a Heineken right before that scene. Absolutely! "

Former DALLAS star LARRY HAGMAN couldn’t have picked a worse time to go under the knife for a little nip and tuck - an earthquake hit Los Angeles during his surgery.
The actor, who plays a patient on the new series of plastic surgery drama NIP/TUCK, admits he once had a cosmetic enhancement for real.
He recalls, "After JR (EWING) was shot I gained a little weight and I started getting a second chin, so my wife said, ‘Why don’t you take it off?’ so I went to the doctor’s.
"As they were doing it and just starting to work… they said, ‘We’re gonna give you some twilight.’ "I started to go out and the room started to shake and rattle and roll and I said, ‘Boy, this stuff is great, where do I get this on the street?’ They said, ‘Mr Hagman, we’re having an earthquake.’"

Troubled BLACK HAWK DOWN star TOM SIZEMORE will star in his own reality show on US cable channel VH1.
The actor will attempt to repair his damaged reputation after several years of bad publicity that has been well documented in the US tabloids.
Sizemore has had a long battle with drug addiction and was convicted in 2003 of assault and battery against his former girlfriend, ex-Hollywood Madam HEIDI FLEISS. He was sentenced to 17 months in jail and four months in a drug treatment facility after repeatedly failing drug test last year (05) and was caught using a prosthetic penis sewn into his boxer shorts and filled with a clean urine sample kept warm by a heating pack to fake the results of his drug tests.
Also last year (05), approximately eight hours of celebrity sex tapes were released on the internet starring Sizemore.
VH1 senior vice president of series production JEFF OLDE says, "You literally watch a man come unglued and unravelled from his own point of view. He lays it all out there." The series will follow the now-sober actor as he embarks on acting jobs, including a movie for the BBC being filmed in Canada.
Sizemore will narrate the show, which will also include flashbacks to his battles with drugs and sexual addiction using video footage he shot on his own.

SWINGERS star JON FAVREAU and his wife JOYA welcomed their third child on Tuesday (29AUG06) in Los Angeles.
Favreau announced the baby’s birth on his MySpace.com page and writes that the baby is "doing great".
BRIGHTON ROSE was born at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where Joya also works as an attending physician.
The baby weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces (3.089 kilograms) and joins older siblings MAX, five, and MADELEINE, three.

DONALD TRUMP has fired his APPRENTICE sidekick CAROLYN KEPCHER after she became too enamoured with her fame from the show.
Kepcher was relieved of her duties as general manager of Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff, New York earlier this week (ends01SEP06).
Sources tell American publication People that Trump had been unhappy with her performance for some time.
The source says, "This has been brewing for over a year. He has tried to get her on the phone, and she was either off giving a speech or was hard to reach." The real estate mogul reportedly felt that Kepcher was promoting her own career more than his golf course.
The source adds, "She was supposed to be managing the golf course. She was supposed to be selling memberships. That’s her job to sell memberships, and she just wasn’t doing it.
"With the book, the speaking engagements and these endorsement deals, he’s looking at that and thinking, ‘She’s supposed to be working for me. Yet, she is off creating her own empire.’" Trump’s representative JIM DOWD’s only comment on the firing was, "Mr Trump wishes her the best."

AUDIOSLAVE guitarist TOM MORELLO was inspired to form a band the minute he heard the groundbreaking SEX PISTOLS album NEVER MIND THE B**LOCKS, HERE’S THE SEX PISTOLS - even though he was unable to play a "single chord".
The former RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE rocker claims the controversial 1977 release changed his life, and immediately sparked creativity in would-be musicians the world over.
He says, "My punk rock revelation would have to be Anarchy In The UK. Now that was absolutely life-changing.
"I didn’t play guitar before I heard that song but 48 hours later after hearing Never Mind The B**locks, I was in a band without knowing how to play a single chord on the instrument. We formed a band because it was an imperative."

British rockers including GRAHAM COXON and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are teaming up with the Tate Modern in London to write tracks inspired by their favourite works of art in the gallery.
The initiative, titled Tate Tracks, kicks off tomorrow (01SEP06) with the DJ duo, who created a song sparked by JACOB EPSTEIN’s sculpture Torso In Metal >From The Rock Drill.
They say, "We chose to write music for The Rock Drill as it seemed so dynamic, powerful and modern. We could imagine music as soon as we saw it." Former BLUR guitarist and art student Coxon chose a 1960s painting by FRANS KLINE to inspire his piece, which will be unveiled in November (06). UK Hip-hop star ESTELLE picked pictorial project Common Sense by MARTIN PARR to create a song of the same name.
WILLIAM GOMPERTZ of the Tate says, "To hear a track in context to the work of art that inspired it is fantastically illuminating.
"You can see both the profound impact that the work had on the musicians and the correlation that exists between music and art. It is just one of those ideas that is of the moment."

Rocker TOMMY LEE wanted to test the partying endurance of the contestants on his reality competition ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA so he flew them to Las Vegas, Nevada for a wild weekend.
The MOTLEY CRUE rocker claims that anyone who joins his new band has to know how to party and he wanted to see his future bandmates’ abilities first-hand.
The reality series follows the search for a vocalist to join the new band SUPERNOVA formed by Lee along with former METALLICA bassist JASON NEWSTED and one-time GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist GILBEY CLARKE.
Lee says about the trip, "Good times. It was insane. We don’t hang a whole lot, but we have had some good times at the (Playboy) Mansion and in Vegas.
"If you’re going to spend a tour with these people and do a record with whoever we choose, you kind of want to see how they operate. You find out real quick who’s amateur hour and who’s professional.
"One of our contestants, DILANA, was carried out like a potato sack and put in a wheelchair and taken to her room (after drinking too much).
"That might be considered a bad look. A couple of other guys passed out. It was good though, we had fun!"

Rapper ICE CUBE has turned his back on a major record deal to concentrate on making risque music on an independent label.
The hip-hop star insists he’s not interested in commercial success anymore, because he’d rather produce gritty albums for his committed fans.
The 37-year-old says, "I’m not thinking about charts, radio or who’s going to play it or buy it - my fans who have been down with me since day one will be down with the record.
"A major record label will just put you on the conveyor belt and, as soon as your release date comes, they’re on to the next release."

In one of the sequences of her Sorry video, Madonna and her female pals pick up men off the street and force them to dance for her in the plush purple nightclub-on-wheels.
London station Kiss FM is asking listeners to enter their Crack The Code competition in a bid to win the singer’s van.

Rocker TOMMY LEE was insulted when ex-wife PAMELA ANDERSON informed him of her upcoming wedding to KID ROCK by sending him a text message.
The couple share custody of their two sons, BRANDON, 10 and DYLAN, 8 and were married from 1995-1998.
Lee appeared on the JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE on Wednesday night (30AUG06), where the talk show host asked him if he had been invited to the July (06) wedding. He replied, "No, that’s a negative. But did you know that marriage is the leading cause of divorce? "I wish them just and if she’s happy, that’s awesome.
"I actually got a text message from her, which was interesting… ‘Oh, by the way I’m getting married…’ "(I’m like) thanks for letting me know! Great, like that…’" Kimmel then asked the rocker if he was surprised that the couple reunited and decided to tie the knot so quickly.
Lee admitted he was caught off guard adding, "Oh yeah, totally!"

The AS GOOD AS IT GETS star found fame presenting US shows TALK SOUP and then LATER WITH GREG KINNEAR throughout the 1990s.
And it still irritates him that he was lambasted for not working his way up in the classic wannabe actor way.
He says, "A talk-show host going into acting? It’s not seen as the correct starting point, is it? It seemed odd and strange for some people.
"Why didn’t I drive cabs first or wait on tables? It would’ve been far more acceptable."

ADEWALE AKINNUOYE AGBAJE refuses to conform to Hollywood’s demands to change his Nigerian name to something easier to pronounce, insisting it would be "sacrilege".
Buddhist Adewale, who plays drug-dealing priest MR EKO in the American hit series LOST, says his name means - ‘the crown has arrived’, ‘warrior’, ‘prosperity and wealth’.
The London-born actor says, "I’m of Nigerian descent, from the Yoruba tribe.
Names are very significant in that culture. It basically states your purpose in life. Every day when someone calls my name, they remind me of that purpose and to denounce that would be sacrilege.
"The name caused me a lot of scrapes growing up. Having come this far, I wasn’t going to abandon it for Hollywood. People are getting used to it. They abbreviate it to triple A.
"Ade is ‘the crown’, Wale means to arrive’, so that means the crown has arrived’. Akin is ‘warrior’ and Agbaje is ‘prosperity and wealth’."

MICHAEL DOUGLAS is terrified of sharks and fears he’ll be eaten while swimming in the sea at his holiday home in Bermuda.
But the veteran actor still loves spending time in the water during vacations on the Atlantic isle.
