PEMBROKE, Bermuda - March 14, 2013 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
(NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty
insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Steven Dresner has been
appointed to the role of Executive Vice President, Global Insurance
Distribution. In this newly created role reporting to Jack Kuhn, CEO Global
Insurance, Mr. Dresner will work with Endurance's U.S., Bermuda and
international insurance teams to further develop the company's wholesale and
retail distribution network. Mr. Dresner has 30 years of underwriting experience
and has held senior insurance and reinsurance roles with responsibility for
property, casualty and specialty products since joining Endurance in May 2003.

Mr. Kuhn commented, "Appointing Steve to this new role is one of several changes
that we are implementing to strengthen our key business relationships and
establish new   partnerships aligned with additional specialty offerings. In his
various underwriting and operations roles at Endurance, Steve has consistently
excelled at developing collaborative ties with our distribution partners and
those connections have been critical to our success."
Since joining Endurance in May 2003 in conjunction with a renewal rights
transaction deal with HartRe, Mr. Dresner has held a number of underwriting
leadership roles, most recently as Head of Brokerage Operations for Endurance
Specialty Underwriters. Before joining Endurance, Mr. Dresner served as Vice
President and Casualty Practice Leader at HartRe responsible for all casualty
lines for treaty and facultative business including professional liability.
Prior to that, Mr. Dresner spent 17 years at GeneralCologne Re in management
roles within their Casualty Facultative business unit.  At both HartRe and
GeneralCologne Re, he focused on the Excess and Surplus Lines marketplace. Mr.
Dresner began his insurance career at the Home Insurance Company. A graduate of
Clark University, Mr. Dresner holds both a BA in Economics and an MBA.
