The ROCKET MAN hitmaker was set to produce HIM AND US, which starred former BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER star ANTHONY HEAD as an ageing gay rocker and ex-SEX AND THE CITY beauty KIM CATTRALL as his manager.
THE ROLLING STONES frontman SIR MICK JAGGER was also set to appear in a recurring role.
The New York Daily News reports TV networks have declined the chance to include John's show on their autumn (06) schedule after watching a pilot episode.
