- Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation's leading recycler of electronics and e-waste, was recognized by CNET.com's green reporters as one of five standout organizations in the green technology realm last week. As part of an Earth Week feature article on "Companies to Watch in Green Tech," CNET's News.com editors asked their green reporters to sit down and select five

leading companies in five different clean technology categories.

Singled out among the five companies to watch in the recycling realm was Fresno-headquartered ERI. The article, naming four additional trailblazers in green technology was featured on the popular technology new site's Green Tech Blog.

"It's a great honor to be named alongside such fellow green innovators as GreenFuel Technologies, Climate Exchange, Ze-Gen and Recycled Energy Development," said ERI Chairman and CEO John S. Shegerian. "It's good to see CNET did their homework and I commend them for continuing to publicize those organizations striving to combine financial success with environmental responsibility."

Now the largest recycler of electronic waste in the world, Fresno-headquartered Electronic Recyclers is licensed to de-manufacture and recycle televisions, computer monitors, computers, and other types of electronic equipment. ERI is capable of processing in excess of 100 million pounds of electronic waste per year.
