Edge Healthcare Partners, LLC is pleased to announce that Gentiva Health Services, Inc. has sold its respiratory therapy, home medical equipment and infusion therapy businesses (collectively, the “Division”) to Lincare Holdings Inc., a leading national provider of respiratory therapy and other services to patients in the home. The transaction closed on February 1, 2010. No transaction terms were disclosed. Edge Healthcare Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Gentiva Health Services.

“We are excited to be able to work with Gentiva and its management team in this important strategic transaction. The sale of this division aids Gentiva in its goal of focusing the company on its core home health and hospice businesses. Such a divestiture allows for resources to be

The Division provides respiratory therapy, home medical equipment and infusion therapy services to patients in their home through approximately 40 locations in seven U.S. states. Respiratory therapy services are provided to patients who suffer from a variety of conditions including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, cystic fibrosis and other respiratory conditions. Home medical equipment includes the delivery of hospital beds, wheelchairs, ambulatory aids, bathroom aids, patient lifts and rehabilitation equipment. Infusion therapy services include enteral nutrition, antibiotic therapy, total parenteral nutrition, pain management, patient education and training and nutrition management. For the twelve months ended September 27, 2009, the Division generated approximately $55 million in revenue.
