ATHENS, Greece (AP) - The European Central Bank has left its key interest at 4 percent, following a decision by the Bank of England to leave its own rate unchanged at 5 percent.
Markets will look for hints about the ECB's plans when bank president Jean-Claude Trichet meets with reporters to explain its decision in the Greek capital.
Thursday's decision by both banks was expected as evidence mounts that growth in the euro zone and in Britain is likely to slow in coming months.
