DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) has been ranked 22 nd place on the annual G.I. Jobs magazine list of military friendly employers.
Selected companies are those that have made the greatest effort and have had the greatest success in hiring military veterans. DynCorp International has made the list for three years in a row, always among the top 25 companies.
The seventh annual G.I.
Jobs’ Top 100 Military Friendly Employers list showcases the top 2 percent of veteran-friendly companies in the United States. These are companies that generate at least $500 million in annual revenue – more than 5,000 are eligible – and have shown, through strong military recruiting practices, internal veterans’ programs, a high percentage of hiring veterans, and Guard/Reserve policies, that they prize prior military.
"This isn’t about charity or patriotism. It’s about good business," said Rich McCormack, who heads G.I. Jobs’ list research. "The companies on our list understand that."
DynCorp International has developed strong working relationships with the transition programs sponsored by the military services.
Participation in the Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) and the Air Force Transition Assistance Program (TAP) job fairs and employer panels clearly demonstrates the value it places on the training and experience veterans bring to the company.
“DynCorp International supports the U.S. government in achieving its national security and foreign policy objectives, working in austere, challenging and conflict environments around the world,” said DynCorp International President and CEO William L. Ballhaus. “Veterans are already on top of the learning curve in their experience, and they understand and appreciate our major customers.”
