February 20, 2013
Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has recently concluded the second session of the Network Majlis for 2013 with Roberto Wyszkowski, Partner at ShiftIN Partners, conducting a special presentation about the fundamentals of Strategy Execution and the Balanced Scorecard. Organised under the theme “Building the Strategy Execution Capabilities”, the DBWC Network Majlis discussed the rationale behind Strategy Maps and the importance of a measurement system in evaluating a company’s performance.
The key points discussed during the session included the foundations for successful strategy execution, the relevance of sound objectives to provide clear direction for any organization, the Balanced Scorecard, and the core of a Performance Management Framework. Participants also learned about the relevance of having robust KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
to provide clear direction for the organization, and the magnitude of good strategy governance to effectively manage the execution journey.
A veteran consultant and trainer specialising in strategy planning and execution, change management, and corporate performance management, Wyszkowski recently led the initial stages of implementation of the performance management framework for a municipal utility system in the UAE, helping set national goals and targets and identify the priorities and supporting resources needed to achieve them. During the past several years, Wyszkowski has also managed major projects in public administration, engineering, telecommunications, utilities, financial services, and manufacturing throughout a wide range of management cultures in the UK, Germany, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Sweden, Venezuela, USA, Spain, and the Middle East.
Roberto Wyszkowski said: “The ability to develop and execute strategy programs is a crucial element in the success of any business organisation. Dubai Business Women Council is therefore taking the right steps towards nurturing a new breed of successful women leaders who have the fundamental skills and knowledge to develop and execute strategy programs. In particular, the recent Network Majlis session provided an opportunity for businesswomen to better understand the core foundations of a successful Strategy Execution. Dubai Business Women Council has certainly done an excellent job in establishing the Network Majlis as a dedicated platform that supports the development of successful women leaders in the society.”
Raja Al Gurg, President, Dubai Business Women Council, said: “Strategy development and execution has always been one of the defining characteristics of a successful business leader. Dubai Business Women Council is therefore strongly committed to developing the strategic thinking and strategy implementation capabilities of our members and all Arab businesswomen in general. Mr. Wyszkowski has given a truly enlightening presentation that has created a lasting impression on the participants of the Network Majlis. DBWC looks forward to build on this highly successful networking event to organize similar initiatives in the future that deal with strategy execution.”
