[UAE, December 30, 2013] - Dubai Smart Government (DSG) recently completed the upgrading of the Payroll System within the Government Resource Planning System (GRPS) while also integrating the rates approved by the Dubai Government Human Resources (DGHR) Department for selected job categories entitled to receive the ‘Nature of Work Allowance The move is in line with the Executive Council’s Resolution No. 15 on the organization of ‘Nature of Work Allowance’ for Dubai Government employees issued by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.
Running basic operations of Dubai government entities while maintaining the privacy of each, DSG’s Government Resources Planning Department upgraded the Payroll System in record time. The
enhancement will enable all the 42 government entities to grant employees their increment retroactively as of July 2013, inclusive of December salaries, by simply entering employees’ names into the system in a seamless, professional and error-free manner. A specialized team from the Payroll Division of the Government Resources Planning Department updated the payroll system to support government entities in paying allowances to employees in an automated manner while taking into account all relevant conditions and excluded holidays.
H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai Smart Government commended the achievement and the unparalleled support of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan to all government organizations and employees. He emphasized the positive impact the allowance will have on all employees by enabling government entities to attract more competencies and talents in line with the vision to promoting the welfare of society and UAE Nationals in particular.

As always in critical times, the team from DSG’s Government Resources Planning Department managed to complete the payroll system upgrade for 42 government entities. It also integrated the allowance rates into every job category and transferred them to December salaries, aligned with the vision and mission of our department to streamline employee affairs and raise their satisfaction H.E. Bin Humaidan added.

It also provides a unified platform for reliable data that matches the highest standards of quality and performance. These systems cover Financial Management, HR, Payroll, Purchasing, Inventory, Enterprise Management, and Assets Management, in addition to eJob and iProcurement. The systems integrate with more than 50 major government systems to help them run their internal operations efficiently and allow them to concentrate on their core functions. The systems also service a number of vital government departments such as Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Road and Transport Authority, and Dubai Health Authority.
