Dropbox currently has millions of users in Brazil: from the students at University of Sao Paulo who use Dropbox to share assignments, to businesses in the healthcare, film and telecommunications industries, among others. There are also thousands of local developers in Brazil exploring how to use the Dropbox platform to create new applications.

“At Dropbox we believe in building technology to make people’s lives easier across the globe and launching in local languages is

an important part of making that a seamless experience,” said Drew Houston, co-founder and CEO of Dropbox. “Latin America will continue to be an important region for Dropbox and we are excited to launch in Portuguese.”

Additionally, mobile continues to be a key component to the growth and innovation of technology companies like Dropbox in Latin America.

"Mobile is key to the Dropbox mission of letting people bring all their stuff with them anywhere," said Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen, head of mobile business development at Dropbox. "The growth of mobile in Latin America is very exciting and we are working with mobile partners, like Samsung, to provide deeply integrated experiences with Dropbox across devices."

Dropbox is currently available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, and now, Brazilian Portuguese.
