MorphoSys AG  (FSE: MOR;  Prime Standard  Segment, TecDAX)  announced
today that its co-founder and CEO  Dr. Simon Moroney was awarded  the
Bavarian  State  Medal  for  Outstanding  Services  to  the  Bavarian
Economy. The award ceremony took place at the Bavarian State Ministry
of Economy,  Infrastructure,  Transport  and  Technology  in  Munich,
Germany, on November 23, 2009.

Martin Zeil,  Bavarian  State Ministry  of  Economy,  Infrastructure,
