MALVERN, Pa., January 12, 2009 - Dr. Maya Angelou and Jeffrey Zaslow will deliver keynote addresses at SunGard Higher Education's user conference, SunGard Summit, March 22-25, 2009 in Philadelphia. Thousands of higher education professionals from around the world are expected at the annual event which carries the theme 'Connect to Inspiration.'

Author, actress and civil-rights activist Dr. Angelou will open the conference and share experiences and perspectives about how to be empowered by inspiration. Dr. Angelou, acclaimed as one of the great voices of contemporary black literature, has authored 12 best selling books and is a lifetime Reynolds professor of American studies at Wake Forest University. She is also among the first African-American women to be named to bestseller lists

with the book I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and has earned a Pulitzer Prize, Grammy Award and National Book Award nominations.

Mr. Zaslow, a senior writer and columnist for the Wall Street Journal and co-author of The Last Lecture will close the conference. Mr. Zaslow's Wall Street Journal column, 'Moving On' focuses on life transitions - whether losing a loved one, changing jobs, getting married, moving into retirement, and handling both success and failure. His column sparked a worldwide phenomenon after writing about the final lecture he attended by Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon Professor who died in 2008.

More than 600 professional development courses and hands-on workshops are planned for the conference, providing a unique learning and professional development experience. In addition, the event will host executive programs for higher education presidents and CIOs along with a technology lab, an exhibit hall and networking events.
