DIRECTV Group Promotes Patrick T. Doyle to Executive Vice President, Finance

In addition to continuing as Chief Financial Officer, he will retain responsibility for all Finance department activities, including accounting, financial planning, treasury, business management, investor relations, audit and tax. Doyle will continue to report to

Chase Carey, president and CEO of the DIRECTV Group.

Doyle joined the company in 1992 as director, Taxes. He was appointed vice president, Taxes in October 1996 and was given the added responsibility for Corporate Development in June 1997. He was senior vice president and Chief Accounting Officer before becoming Chief Financial Officer last year. Previously, Doyle worked for oilfield services company Baker Hughes and public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.
