Diogen Lighting : and its seasonal lighting division, Holiday Creations : , have entered into a long-term brand and endorsement licensing agreement with the producers of the hit TV series Living with Ed : and its co-star Ed Begley, Jr : .

Mr. Begley has “lived green” for decades. He is a world-renowned conservationist and environmental advocate. His unwavering drive to save energy by using the most efficient technology and tools makes him a perfect fit for Diogen Lighting.

“Energy efficient lighting is essential in the battle against wasted energy and Diogen’s LEDs (light emitting diodes) represent one of the most highly efficient technologies today,” stated Mr. Begley. “In fact, I’ve already switched

some of my home’s lighting to Diogen LEDs and am very satisfied with the results.”

Begley’s years of dedicated work have earned him numerous awards from some of the most prestigious environmental groups in the nation, including the California League of Conservation Voters, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Coalition for Clean Air, Heal the Bay and the Santa Monica Baykeeper.

“Ed associates himself only with companies offering proven, high quality products which deliver significant environmental benefit,” said John Hayes, chief executive officer of Diogen Lighting. “Diogen is proud to have earned Ed Begley’s endorsement. We look forward to working closely with him to educate the lighting marketplace about the meaningful environmental and cost-saving benefits our lighting solutions have consistently delivered.”

The company has marketed seasonal products since 1989 under the Holiday Creations name. With its launch into LED lighting in 2004, “Diogen” was adopted as its new name, and it now includes both LED commercial lighting as well as the Holiday Creations division. Throughout its history, the company has earned a strong reputation for market leading, innovative technologies; impeccable safety record and fast response to customers and business partners.

“Combining our marketing efforts with Ed to advance the cause of energy conservation, and hopefully future energy independence, is the dawning of a bright new day for our company. With Ed’s help, Diogen will spread the ‘green’ message across all of North America through our products, technologies and distribution,” added Hayes.

The marketing relationship will include personal appearances at trade shows and key industry and customer meetings. Diogen plans to include Begley in its print, video and online materials. In May 2010 in Las Vegas, Begley will appear with Diogen at LightFair 2010, the primary trade show for the lighting industry.

Diogen offers a full range of LED products from task lighting and replacement lamps to street and area lighting. LED technologies have the potential to eliminate the need for more than 30 electrical power plants and reduce the 32-ton annual consumption of mercury required in the production of fluorescent lighting. Finally, U.S. dependence upon foreign oil will be reduced and help address the threat of global warming.

Diogen’s LED A-Series of replacement lamps (bulbs) replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb with only 12 watts of power consumption or a 40-watt with only 6 watts of power consumption. In addition to their 30,000-hour life expectancy, A-series bulbs have no filament to burn or break, no glass to break, fit any standard light fixture, remain cool to the touch, emit uniform light and create minimal heat.
