COSTA MESA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/21/09 -- The event, hosted by the non-profit organization, the World Affairs Council of Orange County, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29 at the Hilton Costa Mesa at 3050 Bristol Street, Costa Mesa, Ca. 92626. The topic will be "Dead Banks Walking? A Panel Discussion on The Future of the Global Financial System." Please join us for an informative panel discussion on the current state of the global financial crisis and the challenges and options we face as we move forward. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner presentation at 7 p.m.
and a Q&A after the panel discussion. The public is invited to attend.



The panel will include: Marvin Barth, Chief Investment Strategist at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, a $4 billion investment firm. Prior to joining TCP, Barth was Chief Economist for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Raj Date is Chairman and Executive Director of the Cambridge Winter Center for Financial Institutions Policy. Previously, Date was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Deutsche Bank, where he led the firm's investment banking coverage for the largest U.S.-based banks and thrifts. Sanjiv S.
Sanghvi is President and C.E.O. of the Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank, an equity joint venture between Wells Fargo and the HSBC Group.
