Mr. Purdy brings a wealth of industry experience to the role with a deep understanding

of the IBMA and the local Business Music market place across a variety of worldwide territories.

The IBMA, comprising roughly 100 members including Business Music Providers, Retail Installers, and Equipment Manufacturers throughout the world, was created to promote and maintain cooperative efforts in the industry. It was initially founded as a trade association in 1971 by a group of business operators, and is one of the oldest and most respected organizations in the industry.

In his new role as a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Purdy will play an integral part in the overall decision making processes of the IBMA, helping ensure that members benefit from the collective experience of the association, and providing direct, two-way communications with other top professionals in the Business Music and Systems Integration markets. He will also be working to expand the reach and deployment of new and innovative media services to IBMA members.

Additionally, Mr. Purdy is professionally affiliated with The On Hold Messaging Association (OHMA), an international organization composed of audio marketing agencies that have joined together and share a parallel mission to the IBMA, including the goal of advancing the business community's awareness of On Hold Messaging as a cost-effective marketing tool.

Mr. Purdy’s appointment comes on the heels of the announcement that PlayNetwork : acquired Channel M : , the industry leading producer of customized in-store TV networks.
