CLAIRE DANES and JASON PRIESTLEY were honoured for their TV work at the R oma Fiction Fest 2010 Awards on Saturday (10Jul10).
The Romeo & Juliet actress was thrilled to be handed the Best Actress t rophy for her work as
an autistic woman in U.S. biopic Temple Grandin, wh ile Priestley won the Best Actor award for Call Me Fitz.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star told the crowd at the Auditorium C onciliazione in Rome, Italy that he much preferred working on the series than on feature films.
Greeting the crowd in Italian, he said, "For me, I enjoy the pace of wo rk in television much more than I do in films, and that's why I think I w ork in TV more than movies. I like to work at a fast pace. When you work in feature films you tend to tackle one or two projects a year and I'm a guy who likes to stay busy and work a lot." Other winners at the event, hosted by LL Cool J, included Andy Garcia, who was honoured with the Artistic Excellence Award.
