At the 3D SUMMIT Prof. Thomas Wiegand, head of the Image Processing department at the Fraunhofer HHI, will present the latest coding standard HEVC and discuss the future of film and television.
Jim Chabin, president of the International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society, will give fascinating insights into the world of 3D in the Hollywood dream factory and present the work of his international organization. Phil Captain 3D McNally, stereoscopic supervisor in Los Angeles, will then shed light on how the third dimension can aid in bringing stories to true life. Screenings will show a selection of the world’s best 3D content with excerpts from movies that have all won the 3D Creative Arts Award of the International 3D Society.
In the panel discussion, experts from the 3D market will talk about what it’s like to work in the world of 3D and the latest emerging developments, and also present best practice examples of production and content development.
