Biogen Idec chose Cybercom (STO:CYBE) to improve its patient web sites.

Cybercom implemented a new technical platform for better performance and interactivity. The assignment also includes an application management assignment.

Biogen Idec is an American biotechnology company that works with the research, development, manufacture, and sale of drugs. The company markets drugs for multiple sclerosis (MS) in the Nordics. Cybercom

implemented a new technical platform for Biogen Idec’s four MS sites in four languages. The new portal platform provides a long-term, scalable solution with possibilities for more interactive functions.

“We are very pleased with Cybercom’s work,” says Lina Boreson, head of communications at Biogen Idec. “Our vision with the new solution is to interact more with our visitors.”


The new platform is based on a web content management system (CMS) from Sitecore. Sitecore is a Danish product supplier with software for flexible internet portal solutions and is one of Cybercom’s partners.

Sitecore’s CMS solution enables quick, easy implementation of the technical platform.

“Portal solutions is an area in which Cybercom works very successfully and has lengthy experience,” says Fredrik Nilsson, project and account manager at Cybercom. “When it comes to CMS, Cybercom has an extensive portfolio of qualifications and we work with various platforms. We see an increasingly important trend in functionality for interaction and social media to establish stronger relationships with visitors.”
