Actress MARCIA CROSS was horrified when she discovered DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES producers planned to marry her character off in the same church she exchanged vows in for real this summer (06).
Show bosses had earmarked the Church Of Our Savior Episcopal Parish in San Gabriel, California for the TV wedding of Cross' character BREE and her new fiance, played by KYLE MacLACHLAN, without realising the actress was planning her own nuptials there.
She says, "They wanted to use that set for me to get married in on the show.
Someone came up to me and said, 'We just got a phone call that you actually got married in that church - would you mind if we...
"I was like, 'No, why don't you find another church.'" Pregnant Cross married TOM MAHONEY in the church in June (06).
