Crescendo Networks today announced the U.S. release of its top-of-the-line AppBeat DC CN-7790 application delivery controller, designed for the largest Web businesses and hosting providers. The 10 Gbps ADC outperforms every comparable product on the market - including those claiming higher data sheet numbers - because of a proprietary hardware architecture that eliminates the performance degradation and resource contention suffered by competing products when multiple features are enabled.

The result is.

- Actual 10 Gbps throughput, 6 Gbps compression and 4 Gbps SSL throughput at all times, even with features like TCP multiplexing, compression and load balancing turned on.

- A typical 70% improvement in website response times.

- Reductions of up to 50% in server requirements, 85% in bandwidth usage and 30% in

energy consumption that dramatically lower data center costs.

“The AppBeat DC CN-7790 is the industry’s only true 10 Gbps ADC. That’s because our AppBeat family of application delivery controllers is built from scratch with 80 micro engines to deliver all features in parallel for consistent, fast and reliable performance, regardless of feature selection or traffic load,” said Adoram Ga’ash, CEO of Crescendo Networks. “Every other vendor utilizes an off-the-shelf X86 PC that cannot provide this feature concurrency and therefore degrades under heavy stress.”

The AppBeat platform’s performance is driven by a massive parallel processing array with separate resources for each feature. Massive parallelism makes it possible to offload repetitive tasks like compression, TCP connection management and SSL in order to ensure fast, reliable application delivery. Application service levels can also be met with fewer hardware resources, allowing existing infrastructure to serve more users.

Crescendo’s CN-7000 platform also includes 1GB and 4GB throughput models for Web properties with lower traffic volumes. Those models, the CN-7710 and CN-7740, feature the same purpose-built architecture as the CN-7790 to accelerate and optimize application delivery as well as boost server and network efficiency.

The AppBeat DC CN-7790 will be available mid-November from Crescendo Networks at www.crescendonetworks.com : cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww .. .
