Seamless Desktop and Mobile Claim Task Management
ATLANTA (August 29, 2013) -Crawford & Company is deploying the latest innovative
site assessment technology to more effectively manage claims for insurers and

The technology-which will be used globally by Crawford's adjusters-consists of
both Web-based software and companion mobile application available on iPhone®,
Android® and BlackBerry® smartphones. This unique technology enables complete
automation of task management for field activities, empowers mobile work force,
and informs clients of progress within minutes of activities taking place in the
field or the office. The technology is fully integrated with Crawford's systems
to further improve the level of service and efficiency of operations.

The smartphone application lets adjusters initiate an interim site assessment
report and begin gathering loss site data into a form that has been pre-
populated with information from the claims service center. Data can be inputted
and voice notes can be recorded and attached to the claim. Also photographs or
videos may be taken and attached to the report with written or voice notes. The
report generates a site visit docket that is automatically added to the CMS to
assist with key performance indicator tracking and reporting.
Site visit reports can customized by each insurer. To ensure the quality of the
report, every adjuster has the option to route it via the service center for a
review before submission to the insurer. Additional functionality within the
smartphone application turns templated forms into .pdf files to be emailed,
while the desktop tool tracks and timestamps stages of the process, allowing
detailed review and assessment by the service center.
The site assessment tool continues to undergo feature refinements to improve and
expand its capabilities for adjusters and insurers.
