New JAMES BOND star DANIEL CRAIG has a criminal past - he was once caught stealing from a corner shop.
The 38-year-old actor, who stars in upcoming 007 movie CASINO ROYALE, admits he tried shoplifting once but was never tempted to steal again after he got caught by the shop's owner.
He says, "I was a c**p thief. I tried shoplifting for about ten minutes and got caught straight away. I never did it again.
"Me and my mates were standing in a corner shop and they suddenly grabbed a pack of crisps and ran. Nobody told me that was the plan so I was a bit slow. I grabbed a pack but was nabbed straight away.
"I was like, 'What? I was going to pay for it.' I had to take the rap for everybody."
