2008-11-19 09:09:00 - Courtney Love has denied she is suicidal after a string of blogs she posted on her MySpace page sparked fears for her mental health.

Courtney Love has denied she is suicidal. The former Hole singer - who sparked fears for her mental health at the weekend after she flooded her MySpace blog with more than 60 entries - admits she occasionally gets

depressed but insists she isn't considering taking her own life. She wrote on her blog: "I don't ingest alcohol and to even make the merest suggestion of a crack pipe is insane and mean and a lie, which you know perfectly well. "No, I am not suicidal. Occasionally, very occasionally, like all of us I get depressed, and that was over a year ago and I had a mini little depression attack, well - a big one. I don't know quite why it happened but I find that medication is not the answer to this. Working out and doing daimoku (chanting), yoga and eating correctly helps. I want some more high country Kombucha tea - I think that stuff is miraculous for glow and health." The 44-year-old star - who was married to Nirvana star Kurt Cobain until his suicide in 1994 - then bizarrely blamed the criticism of her on old rival Madonna. Referring to internet blogger Perez Hilton, who had ridiculed her on his website, Courtney added: "Perez, its great you got to spend the week with Midge I mean Madge [Madonna] but I have this strange feeling you're all of the sudden feeling a pull to insult me to please her. That's ridiculous, in my humble opinion. In any case, if she's talking or even vibing nasty comments about me, that's not very 'letting in of the light' of her. "Have fun listening to 'Miles Away'! Is that guitar plugged in? She's a great dancer and performer and puts on great shows (from what I hear). It's not my thing musically. All I know is I spent many hours learning to play the guitar over many years and I still suck pretty hard, but I write songs on it and it matters to me."
