LIBREVILLE, Gabon (AP) - Gabon's constitutional court says the election to choose the country's next leader is being delayed until no later than September.
Former President Omar Bongo was one of the world's longest ruling heads of state, in power for more than four decades in the Central African nation. He died last month at the age of 73.
In a decision made public Wednesday, Gabon's constitutional court said the presidential vote will be held by Sept. 6, even though the law requires it to be held within 45 days.

The court says the delay will allow it to revise the election list and conduct other formalities necessary to organize an «honest poll.
