Così Innovation Continues with the Launch of a New
Category of Bowls this January
Così® launches new menu category of bowls using fresh, innovative ingredients
DEERFIELD, Ill (Jan. 10, 2013) -- Così, Inc. (Nasdaq: COSI) has introduced three
Così(®) Bowls as a new category expected to extend the Così(®) menu, while
delivering on the unique and craveable flavor combinations that people have come
to expect from the restaurant chain. Made with wholesome, high-quality
ingredients, the bowls are great choices for customers for both lunch and dinner
and all under 500 calories. The new Così(®) Bowl line-up includes the Adobo
Chicken with Avocado Bowl, the Korean BBQ Bowl and the Stuffed Portobello Bowl.
"We created the recipes for our new bowls, knowing they had to be incredibly
flavorful to deliver on our promise of delighting our guests with fresh,

With the introduction of the three new made-to-order bowls, Così(®) is providing
more options for a satisfying lunch or dinner. Each bowl features a unique blend
of grains that include Colusari(TM) Red Rice, barley and rye. The bowls are also
served with our signature Così(®) hearth-baked flatbread. The new Così(®) Bowls
will be available at participating U.S. restaurants as part of the company's
commitment to innovation and include:
* Adobo Chicken with Avocado: pulled chicken marinated in adobo sauce;
zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers and cauliflower roasted in the Così(®)
open-flame hearth oven; fresh housemade pico de gallo and diced fresh
avocado all served on a bed of grains and garnished with fresh lemon
* Korean BBQ Pork: slow marinated pulled pork; fresh spinach; carrot and
cabbage slaw tossed in ginger soy vinaigrette all served on a bed of grains
and topped with fresh cilantro
* Stuffed Portobello: roasted Portobello mushroom; savory herb tomato sauce;
fresh mozzarella; zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers and cauliflower
roasted in the Così(®) open-flame hearth oven all served on a bed of grains
and topped with a fresh basil chiffonade
