Cooper Industries to Participate in Goldman Sachs Global Industrials Conference

Cooper Industries plc (NYSE:CBE), a global diversified manufacturer, today announced it would participate in the Goldman Sachs Global Industrials Conference 2009 held in New York on Thursday, November 5, 2009.

The presentation and comments by Cooper’s Chief Financial Officer Terry Klebe will begin at approximately 10:15 a.m. EDT.

A live audio web cast of the presentation will be available in the Investor

Center of the Company's website at www.cooperindustries.com : under "Management Presentations." The Company recommends that listeners download and install any necessary audio software at least 15 minutes prior to the presentation. An audio replay will be available on the website through November 20, 2009.

Cooper's presentation may include references to non-GAAP financial measures. In the event non-GAAP measures are used in the presentation, Cooper will post a reconciliation of those measures to the most directly comparable GAAP measures in the Investor Center section of the Company's website under the heading "Management Presentations."
