Converted Organics Units Permitted to Trade Separately Commencing October 22, 2009

Converted Organics Inc. (NASDAQ:COIN, COINU, COINW, COINZ) today announced that, commencing on October 22, 2009, the holders of the Company's units may elect to trade the common stock and Class H warrant included in each of the Company's units separately. Those units not separated will continue to trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol COINU, and each of

the shares of common stock and Class H warrants will trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbols COIN and COINW, respectively. Each Class H warrant is exercisable commencing on December 14, 2009 for one share of common stock at an exercise price of $1.30 per share and expires on October 14, 2014.
