Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, LLC, a joint venture of Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG) and EDF Group, today announced that George H. Gellrich has joined the company as the site vice president of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. As site vice president, Gellrich is responsible for overall day-to-day operation of the 1,735 MWe dual-unit plant located in Lusby, Md. Gellrich replaces James Spina who has been Calvert Cliffs’ site vice president since 2006. Spina will assume the position of vice president, Corporate Site Operations at the company’s Baltimore headquarters.

Gellrich’s 28-year career includes the position of Plant Manager at PSEG’s Salem Generating Station from 2007 - 2009. Most recently, he was on a rotational assignment at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations.

Gellrich

has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland and is a graduate of the Executive Education Advanced Management Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He has held a senior reactor operator license at Exelon’s Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station.
