2012-12-04 18:02:15 - Channel partners can offer GO!Enterprise to clients or develop value-add solutions themselves to bring enterprise applications to mobile users
Newmarket, 3rd December 2012: COMPUTERLINKS UK, the next generation distributor of IT security and Internet technology solutions, today announced an agreement in the UK and Ireland with GLOBO Plc (LSE: GBO), an international mobile solutions and S.a.a.S provider, for its GO!Enterprise product suite. The addition of the enterprise mobility platform, GO!Enterprise, will enable COMPUTERLINKS’ resellers to simplify the process of delivering true mobile enterprise to their customers.
The agreement will also enable COMPUTERLINKS’ resellers to incorporate enterprise mobile application development into their own services. GO!Enterprise creates new revenue opportunities for the channel by providing a simple cross-platform mobile development environment, centralised management and deployment.
Mobile phones have long been part of the business executives’ toolbox. Now, as smartphones have bigger screens
and are more capable of handling larger applications, access and usability of business applications is expected. Therefore, more and more companies are looking for comprehensive solutions to manage access to corporate data from multiple mobile devices and platforms.
David Ellis, director of new technology and services at COMPUTERLINKS, said, “GO!Enterprise adds best of breed mobility solutions to the COMPUTERLINKS new technology portfolio. Enabling mobile access to enterprise applications is a real concern for UK businesses and one that we know our partners are currently looking to address. Having the ability to deliver mobility to businesses quickly and cost effectively, whilst embracing the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend, is a key opportunity for the channel.”
GLOBO's CEO Costis Papadimitrakopoulos said, "We are delighted to have established a partnership with COMPUTERLINKS which will enable GO!Enterprise to gain traction in fast growing and highly competitive markets. This is our first major move in the UK and Ireland, which are key markets for Globo and represents a significant step in the roll-out of GO!Enterprise in Western Europe.”
The agreement forms part of COMPUTERLINKS’ wider mobile management partner strategy as GLOBO sits alongside other innovative technology vendors including Aerohive, Ericom, and M@D. COMPUTERLINKS’ investment in mobile technologies is designed to empower its resellers to embrace the wealth of enterprise mobile opportunities, either by offering solutions themselves or by delivering the capabilities direct to their customers.
