In one day, 400 GE volunteers will transform the grounds of Torre de San Miguel Homes, a 142-unit family housing community with 521 multicultural residents in

St. Paul, to stop soil erosion and runoff into the Mississippi River. This event is one element in developing a longer-term strategy to benefit CommonBond's 107 housing communities in the Upper Midwest. When: Tuesday, September 9, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Live onsite interviews with executives from 10:00 a.m. to noon) Where: Torre de San Miguel Homes, a CommonBond Community 58 Wood Street St. Paul, MN 55107

-- 400 GE volunteers working with CommonBond people will transform the property in one day as they install retaining walls, create plant beds, build a rain garden, lay an acre of sod and prepare the site for a future community garden.
