St. Paul, to stop soil erosion and runoff into the Mississippi River. This event is one element in developing a longer-term strategy to benefit CommonBond's 107 housing communities in the Upper Midwest. -- 400 GE volunteers working with CommonBond people will transform the property in one day as they install retaining walls, create plant beds, build a rain garden, lay an acre of sod and prepare the site for a future community garden.
