KOCHI, INDIA, 27 Dec 2011: Commodity Online, the leading provider of information, research, software and trading services for investors, has launched a new portal dedicated to bullion, Bullion Street (www.bullionstreet.com).

The portal was offcials launched on December 10, 2011 by Mr Jignesh Shah, Vice Chairman of Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) in the presence of Prof K V Thomas, Union Minister for Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution. Bullion Street is dedicated to providing news, analysis, market data and research for investors and serve as a B2B platform for the global bullion industry.

Mr Jignesh Shah in his keynote address after the launch of Bullion Street said that commodities have always brought wealth to the country since ancient times. Futures trading

in gold and silver have enabled traders and importers to effectively hedge their trade against adverse and volatile trends in the market, Mr Jignesh Shah added.

“India is the leading consumer of gold and silver and worldwide interest in investing in precious metals has only increased in recent times due to global economic uncertainties and weak performance of equities and other investment assets,” George Iype, Managing Director of Commodity Online India Ltd said. Bullion Street is perhaps, the first portal in India fully dedicated to global bullion industry and is intended to benefit both investors in precious metals as well as the industry through its B2B platforms, he added. “We have plans to add several B2B sections that will benefit the jewellers, bullion traders, exporters and the mining industry worldwide,” George Iype added.

The bullion portal was entirely developed by Tranzmedia Netvision Pvt Ltd, the software subsidiary of Commodity Online Group.
