Colorado Technical University Appoints Dr. Wallace Pond President and CEO

- The governing board of Colorado Technical University (CTU) has appointed Dr. Wallace Pond, age 44, President and Chief Executive Officer of the CTU University system. The CTU system includes four campuses and two satellite locations, a fully online university which serves over 18,000 students worldwide, and the Institute for Advanced Studies, which offers online, on-ground and blended graduate programs. CTU is a member of the Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ:CECO) network of colleges, universities and schools.

Dr. Pond was appointed Chancellor of CTU Online in 2005 and served as the Chief Operating Officer for the entire University. An educator for 20 years, Dr. Pond has worked in both non-profit and for-profit education at the K-12 and post-secondary levels. He

has been a professor and administrator and has taught both online and on-ground at the post-secondary level, and he has lived, worked, and studied in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Dr. Pond speaks both nationally and internationally, and is the author of numerous articles and the book, The Lights Are On, Is Anybody Home? Education in America.
