BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) - Colombia's government has disclosed a new set of documents that it says indicate senior Venezuelan officials tried to help arm Colombia's main guerrilla army.
Venezuelan officials say the files, allegedly recovered from a slain rebel's computers, are fake.
More than a dozen documents were shown to The Associated Press on Friday. A

U.S. intelligence official in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, vouched for their authenticity.

They detail alleged meetings between top leaders of the leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and senior Venezuelan officials including the country's military intelligence chief. Some discuss the procurement of weapons, others rebel training for Venezuelan home defense forces.
