that includes a focus on the needs of the digital media industry.

"This unique and innovative course of study gives students the opportunity to acquire the business administrative skills required to help them become successful entrepreneurs or prepare for management positions in established companies," said Dr. Rene M. Naert, Associate Professor at MGSM.

MGSM (mgsm.alliant.edu/) offers exciting and challenging graduate degree programs in Business and Management, International Studies and Organizational Psychology. These programs emphasize the 'human side of business,' an advantage for students acquiring the skills they need for consulting and entrepreneurship opportunities.

"As the digital entertainment industry matures, expectations for new workers will continue to rise," said Michael Martin, Dean of the College at Cogswell. "A decade ago it was enough just to know something about a 3D graphics program and the will to work long hours to learn the craft. We want our graduates to leave Cogswell well prepared for the demands of industry today but also prepared for leadership opportunities or to run their own company. Our students understand the need for a solid grasp of business skills and they requested a business component to their curriculum."

To complete the minor, students are required to complete five of the six following classes (Accounting and Managerial/Financial Economics are required courses):

Accounting Business Law and Intellectual Property Management Entrepreneurship Managerial and Financial Economics Project Management Principles of Marketing
