Clare Computer Solutions has launched an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) newsfeed, in the first implementation of Web 2.0 technology as part of a company initiative to continuously improve communications with clients, colleagues and prospects. Clare Computer Solutions understands the need to keep in touch with clients, and prospects. To this end, they have had a monthly E-mailed Newsletter for the past several years and this, along with periodic e-mailed announcements, will continue, due to the positive feedback from the recipients.
With so many e-mails competing for the readers' attention, however, if the recipient doesn't
have the time to read the E-mailed newsletter on the day it arrives, or within a few days, it tends to be deleted.
With RSS, however, readers can "subscribe" to the newsfeed and the articles from the Clare Computer Solutions newsletter will be available from their browser anytime they want to view them. Moreover, other announcements that may be of interest, but don't make it into the newsletter, will be added to the feed.
Bruce Campbell, Clare's VP of Marketing said, "The whole purpose of the Newsletter, the RSS feed, and our entire Web 2.0 initiative, is to serve YOU, the reader, so we would welcome any feedback you have regarding content, how's it's delivered, (or made available), or how you prefer to get the information and news you like to read.
Subscribing the RSS Feed is easy - Internet Explorer 7 has the capabilities built right in. Just point your browser to www.clarecomputer.com/ccs_news.htm, and in the item about the CCS Newsletter, click on the orange RSS icon, and it will access the feed. "
