Citi received the prestigious 'Best Bank of the Year' award from Futures and Options World (FOW), the global derivatives publication, at an annual international awards ceremony held last evening in London.
The awards were decided by a panel of industry experts based on client input and recognise best-in-class service providers in the global derivatives industry. Categories span the full breadth of market players and honour industry leading innovations and product launches implemented over the past year.
On the futures side, Citi recently added additional market coverage and functionality to its Futures and Options Execution (CFOX) platform which combines access to 35 global derivatives exchanges with market-leading FIX capabilities, order and execution management as well as advanced algorithms and spread trading. In the
past twelve months, Citi’s OTC Derivatives Clearing team has cleared over $30 trillion in notional and almost 100,000 trades for clients from over 16 different jurisdictions throughout the world.
FOW judges praised Citi for being “at the forefront” of industry leadership during a time of intense changes led by regulatory developments and for “taking the lead” on some key client initiatives such as the launch of a new transparency portal, thereby becoming the first global clearer to offer transparent reporting of segregated client assets.
“We are honoured to receive this prestigious award- a testament to Citi’s commitment to providing best-in-class futures and derivatives clearing services to our clients,” said Jerome Kemp Global Head of Futures and OTC Clearing. “As we continue to invest in our platform, we look forward to expanding our capabilities and bringing more innovative solutions to market.”
FOW has been providing news and analysis on global derivatives and risk management since 1982. The publication is a key source of data for the futures and options industry.
