Ciel Satellite Receives Approval in Principle to Develop Six Canadian Spectrum Licences

www.cielsatellite.ca - Ciel Satellite Group Dave Lewis, 613-599-4400 dave.lewis@cielsatellite.ca The Ciel Satellite Group announced today that Industry Canada has issued Approvals in Principle to Ciel to develop the following spectrum: Ka FSS at 91 degrees W and 109.2 degrees W; 17 GHz BSS at 91 degrees W, 103 degrees W and 107.3 degrees W; and

12 GHz BSS at 138 degrees W. Preliminary assignment to Ciel of these frequencies and orbital positions was announced by Industry Canada in June 2007. Ciel recognizes the Government of Canada's leadership in promoting a more competitive and innovative Canadian telecommunications industry through this licensing process.
