Greenwood Village, Colo. - Feb. 15, 2013 - Ciber in the Netherlands was selected
to design and implement a new global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
at Flamco, a manufacturer of heating, cooling, ventilation, and drinking water
systems and one of some 500 companies owned by the Voestalpine Group, which
operates in more than 50 countries on five continents. The new system - built on
SAP® ERP applications - will replace multiple systems currently in use at
different facilities and thereby improve production efficiency.
Flamco currently has 13 international sales offices worldwide and six production
locations in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and China. By
deploying an SAP ERP-based system spanning all locations, Flamco managers will
gain enhanced understanding
of critical business processes. The new deployment
will include the SAP ERP Financials solution as well as logistics and materials
management applications in SAP ERP. The implementation will make it possible,
among other things, for Flamco to manage resources more effectively by letting
company managers know where stock is available and who within the organization
is involved in specific orders. Through enhanced efficiency, the company expects
to meet forecasted growth with current resources. The system also simplifies
management tasks for Flamco's IT department today while providing scalability
that will support corporate growth.
Ciber's role in the implementation includes developing the blueprint for the
software roll-out, which will occur on a country-by-country basis together with
Flamco project members. Ciber will provide support through local offices as
needed.
