Greenwood Village, Colo. - Mar. 18, 2013 - Ciber today announced a new higher
education Business Process Services (BPS) offering "Powered by Oracle" and based
on Oracle's PeopleSoft applications.
The BPS services provided by Ciber will provide BPS customers with the
implementation, configuration, content customization and management of Oracle's
PeopleSoft applications. The new service, called Ciber Cloud Campus(TM), will
help clients reduce risks, lower cost of ownership and gain a predictable cost
model by implementing PeopleSoft applications though software-as-a-service
(SaaS) delivery. This cloud solution is being provided by Ciber, a Platinum-
level member of Oracle(®) PartnerNetwork.
Oracle's PeopleSoft is the premier single-source, integrated solution for
managing human capital, finance and student information in higher education.
PeopleSoft applications support
all of an institution's critical business
operations throughout the enterprise and have been proven through thousands of
implementations in higher education.
Organizations today are looking to reduce costs while operating more
efficiently, leading many to sign up for specialized business process services.
By leveraging such services, "Powered by Oracle" customers gain the benefit of
Oracle's leading technology and applications combined with the market-specific
expertise of Ciber, an organization that has implemented software at more than
200 higher education institutions in the United States and Canada. With Ciber
Cloud Campus, clients can focus on their business challenges and innovation
instead of day-to-day operations or IT management.
"Oracle is committed to delivering value and efficiency to both our partners and
the joint customers we serve," said Tibor Beles, vice president, Business
Process Services, Oracle. "By leveraging Oracle technology in tandem with the
domain expertise of our valued BPS partners like Ciber, customers can remain
agile, be responsive to changing market conditions and effectively manage
costs."
Ciber Cloud Campus helps institutions focus on what matters most: empowering
students, teachers and researchers with the right tools. The solution also helps
reduce overhead and the burden of system administration and allows a school's
technical staff to work on other initiatives. It provides:
* Subscription (or "pay-as-you-go") pricing for the entire suite of services
with virtually no capital expense for software, hardware or facilities.
* Professional cloud services, including application services.
* Accelerated implementation so that institutions can gain software benefits
quickly.
* A tailored suite of Ciber custom solutions and services designed
specifically to support higher education operations, leveraging the latest
Oracle's PeopleSoft functionality.
Ciber can also perform core business processes or augment back-office staff
during peak times. Ciber's consultants come from higher education backgrounds,
and can:
* Perform Admissions Processing, Bursar and Billing Services, Degree Audit and
Graduation Services.
* Perform Payroll and Benefits Processing Services.
* Perform Contracts and Grants Management Services.
"With Ciber's strong higher education background, Oracle technology and
expertise, this relationship can be a win-win for all involved," said Mike
Dillon, Ciber's higher education vice president and Oracle practice leader.
"We're gratified to work with Oracle as a provider of these services in the
North America higher education market."
Ciber has helped more than 1,000 clients in more than 2,000 separate engagements
leverage their Oracle applications to improve business processes, reduce costs
and provide support for management decision making.
