A 12-year old girl survived a fall down a 15-storey chimney.
The US girl climbed a steel ladder which leads up the side of the chimney from the roof of the apartment block she lives in. She then somehow fell in and tumbled 15 storeys. Residents of the building found her at the bottom of the chimney, not only alive, but with little injuries other than cuts, bruises and a dislocated hip. A neighbour of the girl said: "I'm glad she survived. That's a miracle. God must have been with her." The child was saved by a half-metre pile of soot at the bottom of the chimney, according to the New York fire department.
