October 10, 2013—Hartford, WI— Plant the seed of music through the Schauer Community School of the Arts with early childhood music classes. Caregivers and children ages 10 months to 4 years will explore the joys of listening, singing, and moving to music through age appropriate games and activities that encourage positive social interaction.
Family Music & Movement, for ages 10 months to 3 years, will be held on Mondays, October 28 through December 9 from 10:00–10:45 am. Instructor Celia Meisel will teach nursery rhyme songs and interactive games to develop healthy motor movement and language skills.
A six week session of Movin’ & Groovin’ for ages 3 to 4 will be held on Wednesdays, October 30 through December 11 from 4:30–5:15
pm. Instructed by Jan Meisel, children will march, stomp, twist, and hop through class learning movement based songs. Students will discover percussion instruments and play games that develop listening and sharing skills.

The Schauer Center’s Community School of the Arts, offers year-round programming in music, dance, theater, and visual arts for students of all ages, levels, and visions. The Community School of the Arts is generously supported by Frederick W. & Beatrice K. Schauer Foundation.
With the Ruth A. Knoll Theater and Suckow Family Art Gallery, the Schauer Arts & Activities Center is a non-profit regional center for the arts, staging professional touring performances, as well as shows by Hartford City Band, Hartford Community Chorus, The Hartford Players, and the Kettle Moraine Fine Arts Guild. The Schauer Center also offers visual and performing arts classes for all ages. Facilities are available to rent for social and business functions.
