Change in the shareholding in Outotec Oyj

ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF A
CHANGE IN THE SHAREHOLDING IN OUTOTEC OYJ

In accordance with the Securities Market Act, Chapter 2, Section 10 Outotec Oyj
announces that holdings of Solidium Oy (business code 2245475-9) in shares of
Outotec Oyj (OTE1V) on March 20, 2013 exceeded 10% and were 4,592,373 shares,
which represents 10.03% of the share capital and votes in the company.

The share capital of Outotec Oyj consists of 45,780,373 shares and each share is
entitled to one vote at the general meeting of shareholders.
